After breakfast, you will be picked up by a private motorboat and cross the river delta. Enjoy the ride through the small river arms and dense mangroves. In the late afternoon, you will get to see an extraordinary natural spectacle. The rare red ibises (Guarás) gather every day by the thousands on one of the islands in the delta.
At sunset we meet in Tutóia, where you will spend the night.
We continue on with the Hilux pickup to Caburé, where our next boat awaits us. The journey to Atins takes about 15 minutes. In Atins, you will feel like you have arrived at the end of the world. Atins is still pristine with little tourism, nestled in a beautiful untouched landscape.
After lunch, we will take our private motorboat up-river on the Rio Preguiças to Barreirinhas. In Mandacaru we make a stop, where you can climb the 60m high lighthouse with a beautiful view. Further upstream, we will make another stop at “Pequenos Lençóis” before continuing to our destination for the day, Barreirinhas.
